This beverage is so refreshing, it’s all you’re going to want to drink this Summer! Agua Fresca is Spanish for “fresh water” and in Mexico and Central America street vendors sell these cold mixtures of fruit, water and sometimes herbs, seeds or spices to help customers beat the heat. I’ve been wanting to make a drink using watermelon and when I saw that probably 75% of you chose watermelon as your favorite Summer food in my Pampered Chef giveaway, I got excited because I knew you’d love this as much as I do. This simple, thirst-quenching drink is lightly sweetened and the twist of lime helps boost the naturally sweet watermelon flavor. I plan on making this many times this Summer – it’s perfect for guests, a day on the back patio or a 4th of July celebration. You could even try adding a splash of vodka for a party. Feel free to add your own twists like mint leaves or basil – this is a recipe that everyone is sure to love.
1.Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses over ice and garnish with lime slices if desired.
